In this episode of Unsung Dreamers, we were lucky enough to have
the ever-so-amazing duo known as The Creek Rocks! Mark Bilyeu and
Cindy Woolf were destined to be together to form this wonderful and
amazing musical 'team'... well.... and to get married too, of
course!
Right from the beginning, we discuss their recent trip to Isesaki,
Japan. Where they traveled to represent the city of Springfield, MO
as part of the Sister Cities program of art, culture and music.
Mark is from a very musical family, which explains how later in his
musical journey he formed the band Big Smith, who recorded records,
toured all over, wrote songs and spent years entertaining all of us
fine folks right here in the Ozarks. Cindy is no stranger to music
either. She's been writing and performing her original music for
years. Both having tons of experience writing songs, and finding
themselves involved in the same kind of music and experiences... it
must have only been fate that brought them together to become The
Creek Rocks!
Sit back and enjoy some great stories about how all this came
about. From their early pickin' and grinnin' front porch guitar
pulls, to the high school 'punk rock' bands, to performing to a
packed house at The Gillioz Theater for their CD release party! The
Creek Rocks!!... right here on The Unsung Dreamers! Go catch one of
their shows. Go download their music. Go tell em that you heard of
them right here!
